The Menorah: A Reading of Exodus 25:31-40 by Dr. Terry Harman

Every year around Hanukkah I receive emails asking for information about the Menorah. This year I wrote a blog titled, "Hanukkah: The Miracles of Oil and Metal."

The blog discusses the origin of the Hasmonean Hanukkah Menorah and the miracle of the one-day supply of oil lasting eight days and the menorah constructed from soldier's weapons. The picture above is me dressed as Aaron the High Priest tending the Menorah.

The Menorah shown above was constructed for me in 2005 by Dr. David Hamilton of Mishkan Galleries located in Theodora, Alabama. He has the world's largest private collection of Tabernacle and Temple-related recreations.

The below depicts a reading of Exodus 25:31-40 the Menorah crafted by Dr. Hamilton. I realize the video uses an electric Menorah and Moses did not have electricity! The decision was made to use electric vs oil burning to accommodate the ease of using the Menorah to teach as I travel around the country.

Since that time I partnered with a foundry in India to create oil-burning Menorah's. These 63-inch tall, handcrafted Menorahs are created using hand-made sand molds and molten metal. If you are interested in acquiring a Menorah please contact me by email at terryharman@thetabernacleman.com or by phone at 1-219-448-2673. Below is a picture of the 63-inch metal oil-burning Menorah.
